BBC Morning Live star shares exciting baby update as she admits 'it feels real'

BBC Morning Live presenter Michelle Ackerley has been inundated with heartwarming messages after posting a baby update. The 41 year old BBC personality is awaiting the arrival of her baby girl with husband Ben Ryan. She had previously revealed the thrilling news during a live broadcast on the BBC One programme. Joined by co-presenter Gethin Jones at the time, Michelle surprised the day's guests by confirming her pregnancy. During the show, Gethin hinted that Michelle had an announcement to make, prompting her to reveal: "Yes, I am four months pregnant!" She added: "I still can't quite believe it myself really."
Gethin then mentioned how Michelle had told him that husband Ben had been providing tremendous support throughout her pregnancy journey. Now, the television personality has provided followers with an essential update as she nears her due date. Michelle posted to her Instagram profile with a series of photographs, showing the presenter has everything organised and prepared for her first child's arrival.
Captioning the images, she penned: "Hospital bag packed, buggy assembled, car seat at the ready. It all feels very real now! Massive thanks to Marcelle and @mumandme_app for helping equip me with some great mum essentials."
Revealing a list of all the essentials she has gathered for the arrival of her baby, she added: "@cybex_global travel set comes with pram, stroller and car seat, @icklebubba Stella Rocker with three recline positions, @obabyuk Nika 2 piece room set - Oak, Cot bed that grows with your baby from new born to toddler and chest of drawers with baby changing station."
The comment section was soon filled with sweet messages from fans and celebrity friends. Morning Live co-star Helen Skelton was among the first to show their support, simply posting three raised hands emojis.
TV and radio presenter Gaby Roslin commented: "So exciting. Sending you so much love." Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones shared a red heart." One fan said: "Huge hugs! It's so much easier when the baby's arrived and you're just in motion, doing all the things... sending so much love."
Another wrote: "You're all set for the arrival. Hope it all goes smoothly." A third commented: "TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING! You're meeting your girl soon. "Meanwhile one follower added: "Awww this is just lovely and brings back memories. You are joining the best club in the world - the mummy club. Best of luck and wishing you a happy birth."
This comes after the star was recently rushed to hospital after coming off air from Morning Live as she takes leave from the show. Sharing a health update with her fans on Instagram, the mum-to-be showed off her growing bare bump after being discharged. Alongside the photo, she wrote: "Well it's been quite the rollercoaster of a few days this end. Had such a lovely day back at work with the awesome @bbcmorninglive team last Monday.
"Then unfortunately ended up in hospital with labyrinthitis for the next 4 days. I don't know if anybody has had it before but it ain't ideal.
"I have to say the midwives at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester were amazing and kept me calm with all the anxieties of being ill whilst pregnant. Resting up and nesting up at home now."
Michelle also announced that she is now on maternity leave from Morning Live following her hospital visit. She added: "I'll be back on @bbcmorninglive in the new year though with a new baby addition to add to the family."
Morning Live continues weekdays on BBC One from 9am.
