Graham Norton has finally spoken out about Remember Monday's performance at Eurovision 2025, following their disappointing result in the public vote. The all-female trio, comprising Lauren Byrne, 30, Holly-Anne Hull, 30, and Charlotte Steele, 29, performed their song What The Hell Just Happened? on stage in Basel, Switzerland. As one of the "Big Five" countries - which also includes Spain, Italy, France, and Germany - the United Kingdom had a guaranteed spot in the grand final without needing to pass through the voting process. However, the tide turned on Saturday when, after performances from 26 countries, the votes started coming in.

The national juries from each country were the first to cast their votes, awarding between 1-12 points for their favourite performances. Remember Monday received a commendable 12 points from Italy, and with additional points, the UK found itself in 10th place after the jury vote. But the elation was short-lived as the UK received zero points in the public vote. Remember Monday finished the night in 19th place, crushing our hopes of securing a win - the last one being in 1997, reports Manchester Evening News.

Graham Norton, who provided commentary for viewers on BBC One or iPlayer on Saturday night, paid tribute to the girls on his Instagram on Sunday 18th May.

Sharing a snapshot of their act, he penned: "On this Sunday, @remembermonday_ Eurovision can be a strange unknowable beast, but what is certain is the musical talent of these three women. Charlotte, Holly and Lauren.

"Thank you for stepping up and navigating the challenge of Eurovision, with grace, good humour and stage craft. Heads high towards a bright future! @bbceurovision".

The post was met with a wave of encouragement in the comments section, where @katbrownwrites chimed in: "They were brilliant - and extremely jolly about the whole thing which commends them extremely highly. And thanks Graham and team for another great commentary!".

@garveytanyamc echoed the sentiment: "Loved their song and performance. Stunning harmonies."

while @claire_lou_76 lauded: "They were amazing and very talented. Well done ladies".

Graham sparked controversy with some of his comments during the night, as he commented that Israel got a "mixed response" in the arena, before adding there would be a "sigh of relief" in the EBU that Israel didn't win, so the competition wouldn't be hosted in Tel Aviv.
