Inside Celebrity Traitors' hellish filming as stars' gruelling reality exposed

Celebrity Traitors is filming right now - with a set of famous faces joining the game of deceit and betrayal. A number of famous faces have been drafted in for the new series including Alan Carr, Kate Garraway and Jonathan Ross amongst others.
Jaz Singh - nicknamed Jazatha Christie - was a stand out Faithful on the second series of the hit BBC show, and was the only one to rumble Traitor Harry Clark's true identity. The series ended with Jaz being ousted by Harry and Mollie Pearce (who was a Faithful) and Harry managed to convince Mollie he was on her side and he stole all the money from her.
Now Jaz has given The Mirror a unique insight into what the celebrities will be up to now, as they begin filming for the hit reality show. But given it's Traitors there's likely to be some huge new twists.
Jaz has revealed the castle is covered in hidden cameras, which are built into the furniture. He described his own experience on the show as "crazy" as he explained what it was like working on the show.

"It was the maddest experience. We hadn’t been in the castle for 10 - 15 minutes and they were listening to absolutely everything. So I asked the question, do we take our mics off when we go to the toilet or do we keep the mics on? They said, Jaz we’ve heard it all. You keep it on at all times. This is reality TV. You know there’s cameras around; but they’re hidden," he said
"Everyone’s sort of nervous and trying to settle and I’d say it takes about an hour or two for everyone to forget the mics are on, forget the cameras are there. So quickly you’re already back at uni in your uni halls and getting to know everyone. This is my new family - but they’re actually not my family and they’re out to betray. That whole time period was crazy."
Filming The Traitors isn't a quick easy 'shift' at work. Jaz revealed that they only get a few hours sleep and work long days.
"Getting into filming, it was very long and tiring days … The only way I can describe it as is hell. You’re together 24 / 7 up until you go to sleep. When you do go to sleep, you’re in your own bubble because you can put your swords down and breathe," he said.
Describing how tough it is, he explained: "It’s intense. You’re waking up at six in the morning and going to sleep at half two. You’re on four and a half / five hours sleep. I would get hangry and tired."
Jaz also revealed the stars have to go completely 'off-grid' for the entire filming - which is usually a month.

"There’s no phones, there’s no communication to the outside world. Your watches are taken off you so you’ve got no sense of time in there, which is mental when you take time out of it. You are relying for when its daylight and dark," he explained.
When the contestants make their way to their rooms, they don't just hop in a car or walk there, they are escorted - in blindfolds.
He said: "We are escorted to our rooms, which is a really scary surreal feeling because we have no idea where we’re going, who we’re going to see. They don’t tell us anything - they don’t say we’re going to take you to your room, get you a nice cup of tea, order you a pizza, none of that. You hear your name and you get up, walk out the room, blindfolds on, the cloak on and you’re escorted."

One of the most iconic parts of the show, the roundtables, are just as anxiety-inducing for the shows' stars as we find them. In the roundtables, Jaz is convinced the room is cooled to make things even more nerve-wracking.
"In the roundtables, I’m convinced that they deliberately make you cold in there. Obviously it’s anxiety inducing anyway - it’s so scary - because you’ve got nothing to rely on but how you come across," he said.
"You sit in the chair and it’s absolutely freezing. You’ll be shaking which makes you already nervous … It was so cold and everyone is already shaking. It takes one person to say something and it’s like you’ve fallen off your chair."
He added: "The theatrics and the whole thing is mental; they’ve thought about every situation."
