Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is preparing to walk down the aisle with his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez. The couple went public with their relationship in 2019 before announcing their engagement in 2023. The lavish celebrations kick off on Thursday (June 26) and will reportedly last for at least three days. Watching the duo exchange their vows will be a number of star-studded guests including Elton John, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and many more.

Bezos, 61, is currently the 4th richest man in the world, with a net worth of $223.5 billion, meaning no expense is being spared for the spectacular event. One staff member at the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, a luxury five-star hotel nestled on the private island of Isola delle Rose, has shared an insight into the couple's upcoming nuptials, revealing the American businessman has booked the entire hotel for their wedding guests.

A member of staff from the hotel told the Express: “Mr Bezos has booked out the whole hotel. Every single room, every suite, every duplex and the huge standalone apartment has been reserved for guests of the wedding."

The staff member continued: "The most important and most famous attendees will be given priority for rooms so that they do not have to worry about the paparazzi in the main lido."

Guests will reportedly enjoy a James Bond style entrance when they arrive, with private water taxis escorting them to a secret part of the lavish hotel.

“We even have a very special boat entrance that many guests say feels like a James Bond kind of entrance. VIPs will be shuttled directly from the airport avoiding the main part of Venice altogether," the hotel employee said.

They added: "The private water taxi will take them directly from the airport to the secret entrance of the hotel that is the bowels of the hotel."

The staff member revealed that privacy was a huge concern for Bezos, adding: "This hotel sits alone on its very own island so only official guests and vendors can enter."
