Major Donald Trump 'breaking news' sparks explosive GB News row: 'Hang on!'

A heated debate boiled over on GB News following President Trump's latest announcement. Former Chief of Staff to Joe Biden, Susan Platt, and Bev Turner entered a fiery conversation about Trump's announcement that there could be a link between the consumption of paracetamol when pregnant and an increase in autism. The US President has said that doctors in America will soon be advised not to prescribe the pain reliever Tylenol to pregnant women. He made the announcement on Monday in the Oval Office alongside Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. On GB News, Susan Platt argued that everything is connected and said, "How many people are dying from cancer?"
This prompted an enraged Bev Turner to say: "No, let's stay on this! Asking Donald Trump to present medical data doesn't play to his strengths. He talks in headlines. He always turns to his experts and says, 'Have I got that right?'". But Susan kept going back to why he cut funding to children's cancer, which frustrated Bev.
The US president claimed that taking paracetamol, the main ingredient in Tylenol, is "no good" for pregnant women and that they should only take it in cases of extreme fever.
Tylenol maker Kenvue has since defended the use of the drug in pregnant women and argued in a statement to the BBC: "We believe independent, sound science clearly shows that taking acetaminophen does not cause autism. We strongly disagree with any suggestion otherwise and are deeply concerned with the health risk this poses for expecting mothers."
It also continued and said that Acetaminophen, Tylenol's active ingredient, is the safest pain-relieving option for pregnant women.
Earlier this year, in April, Kennedy promised "a massive testing and research effort" to find out the cause of autism in five months.
One GB News viewer argued: "I don't understand this absolute refusal to even consider that there might be a link. What's the harm in re-testing some drugs and vaccines? As a parent I would like to know for certain either way. But no, "The science is settled" & we're never allowed to discuss it ever again."
Another fan at home typed on X: "We know drugs have side effects. We know if you take anything like that long term, especially pregnant there’s a risk. All drugs come with a risk. He’s been advised so you can’t just pin this on him, however more research is needed."
