Currys dishes out Sky TV rival at very low price but Argos has an even cheaper offer

Don’t want an aerial or dish stuck to your chimney? There are now some decent options available that use broadband to beam content into living rooms instead of an old-fashioned terrestrial signal. Of course, Sky has been leading the way for some time with the firm offering its Sky Glass TVs and Sky Stream box. These gadgets offer full access to live and on-demand content and are fully powered by the web. The monthly price can be as little as £15, with that cost even including a Netflix subscription and some premium channels.
As you can read in our full Sky Glass and Sky Stream reviews, these are solid options that come packed with plenty of features, but they do require homes to sign up to lengthy contracts, and that won’t suit everyone.
Those wanting access to live TV without an aerial or paying a monthly fee might want to check out Freely instead. This platform, which only launched last year, features more than 40 channels which can all be watched totally free of charge. The only thing homes need is a Freely-powered screen, and there are now some very cheap options.
Currys has just launched its early Black Friday deals, and there are numerous Freely TVs that have been slashed in price.
For example, there's a 24-inch Sharp telly which is now just £109.99 (saving £10) or the JVC 24-inch model is £119 (saving £60).
Other options include JVC's 32-inch screen for £129 (saving £90) and a 40-inch gogglebox from Toshiba is now £159 (saving £40).
Those are clearly very tempting price cuts, but things get even cheaper if you head over to Argos instead.
Right now, you can grab a basic Bush TV for just £99. For that price, you get a 24-inch screen that is powered by Freely.

If you want something bigger then there's also a deal on the 40-inch Bush model at Argos. This bigger telly usually costs £159 but that price has been dropped for Black Friday.
That means you can grab one for just £129 - saving £30.
