Those in need of a new Android smartphone will soon have even more choice. Samsung has just confirmed that it will be showcasing its Galaxy S25 Edge device on May 13, with fans finally getting full details about this super skinny smartphone. The Edge was originally revealed all the way back in January and it appears the Korean technology firm is now ready to unleash it on customers.
Boasting about the upcoming launch, Samsung said: "The latest addition to the Galaxy S series is both a powerful AI companion and an engineering marvel, merging flagship-level performance with superior portability.
"This is more than a slim smartphone. Every curve, contour and component reflects a breakthrough in precise engineering to create a premium experience worthy of the S series name."
Things we already know about the Edge is that its design is under 6mm thick, it will get a powerful camera on the rear case and have plenty of AI upgrades built in.
If that wasn't enough to tickle those tech tastebuds, Sony has also now teased that will be launching something new as well.

This blockbuster phone update is also being released on May 13 and could give Android lovers a another new flagship to pop in their pocket.
Sony is keeping the launch news under wraps for now, but they have included a hidden image which could hint at an update to the Xperia One series.
The last device to be announced in this category was the Xperia VI which arrived in May 2024 so, if Sony follows it's usual cycle, it is due a refresh.
If an updated Xperia One is confirmed, expect it to be more powerful, have better cameras and maybe some tweaks to the overall design.
