Inside the world’s biggest beach hotel – with a 15-acre waterpark, 2,200 rooms and its own private island

THE £3.4billion Baha Mar Resort, located in The Bahamas, has almost everything you could want when on holiday.
The world's biggest beach resort has a 15-acre waterpark, 40 restaurants and bars and a 24 treatment room spa.
Cleaned by 210 housekeepers each day, the resort features three hotels with 2,200 rooms, a private island for hire and both child and adult-friendly activities.
It even has a 'fake beach' complete with cliffs and a window into an aquarium at the resort, all set behind the real beachfront.
On the resort's beachfront, each day around 2,000 deckchairs are lined up for guests to bath on the sun.
Guests can also enjoy an exclusive adult-only pool, where staff even spray bottles of champagne at holidaymakers throughout the day.
Visitors can also been chauffeured around the resort in a fleet over Teslas.
There are 44 species of bird that live at the resort, many of which will eat from the hands of guests.
As part of the destinations bird experiences, there is an aviary which has 18 species of birds on display.
A flamingo parade is also located in the resort.
Over the years, this colossal destination has had its fair share of special guests, including Sir Richard Branson, who stayed in one of the hotels' presidential suites, which is about four times the size of the average British house.
Located at the centre of the resort, so that each guest must walk through it several times a day, is the casino.
Complete with 1,100 slot machines, the casino is open 24 hours a day and features floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook Cable Beach.
Though, for VIP guests there is a private casino with a separate entrance.
The resort's waterpark is themed around the natural beauty of The Bahamas, where guests can enjoy a surfing simulator, drop slides, group raft rides, uphill water slides and speed slides.
And for the visitors who like to keep active, there are numerous sports facilities including a tennis centre, golf course and a gym.
Such a giant complex means there are a large amount of places to eat and in total, over 15,000 meals are prepared each day.
Across 40 restaurants and bars guests have plenty of choice, including breakfast spots, an Asian Latino grill and ice cream parlour.
For wellness enthusiasts there is a spa which spans across 24 treatment rooms, offering guests a range of services.
Adding up all these facilities makes the beach resort the world's largest and in 2024, it welcomed over 11 million people.
Prices to stay at Baha Mar vary depending on the hotel stayed in and the type of room.
A typical room at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for example, can range from £214 per night for a King room to £832 per night for a Deluxe room.
The resort is conveniently located on Nassau, close to Nassau International Airport.
British Airways flies direct to Nassau from London Heathrow Airport, with return flights costing around £900 and taking about nine hours each way.
