According to the information, the aircraft is a Bundeswehr aircraft.

The German Foreign Office has summoned Chinese Ambassador Deng Hongbo after the Chinese military "targeted" a German aircraft with a laser. The ministry announced this on the X platform.

According to the information, the aircraft was a German Bundeswehr aircraft operating as part of the EU mission Aspides. The mission, which focuses on the Red Sea, is intended to protect civilian shipping from attacks by the Houthi rebels in Yemen. "The endangerment of German personnel" and the "disruption of the mission are completely unacceptable," the Foreign Office said in a statement.

The formal summoning of an ambassador is considered a harsh diplomatic tool used by the host government to signal clear discontent. Details of the incident were not initially disclosed.
