When I was in elementary school in Warsaw during the Polish People's Republic, the black-and-white series "Four Tank Soldiers and a Dog" was broadcast on children's television. There were only two state-run television channels, and film production was also rather sparse: First, the first season aired, then the second, and when the series ended, it simply repeated from the beginning. That's how we grew up.
