Jason Momoa rose to stardom as "Aquaman" in the DC Comics film adaptations, and the actor seems to be literally in his element right from the first scene of his new series , "Chief of War." We see him catching a shark underwater with his bare hands, not for bloody fun, of course, but following ancient Hawaiian traditions. But as spectacular as this opening sequence is, it also immediately reveals that this nine-part series has absolutely nothing in common with the action adventures in which Momoa has previously appeared on screen.
