The previous president of POLSA dismissed by the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk

The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) is an executive agency of the Ministry of Development and Technology , established in 2014. Its task is to support the Polish space industry. POLSA cooperates with international agencies and state administration in the field of research and use of outer space.

The previous president of the Agency, Prof. Grzegorz Wrochna, was dismissed in March by the Minister of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Paszyk . The reason - as the ministry informed PAP - was irregularities in the performance of tasks related to managing the agency.

On February 20, 2025, the Minister of Development summoned Wrochna to provide explanations regarding irregularities in reporting the uncontrolled entry of the Falcon 9 rocket stage into the atmosphere. It was argued at the time that the POLSA reports did not signal the level of risk.
