Conagua warns of the possible formation of a new hurricane in the Pacific

In recent days, the National Water Commission (Conagua) reported that it is monitoring a low-pressure zone that could lead to a possible new hurricane . According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN) , this tropical cyclone could primarily affect the coast of Oaxaca.

According to the information, this low-pressure zone is located south of the coast of the state of Oaxaca, with a 40 percent chance of increasing its cyclonic development in the next 48 hours. However, the probability of growth could increase to 90 percent in the next seven days.

Conagua is monitoring the possibility of a new hurricane near the coast of Oaxaca in the Pacific Ocean.

Currently, the low pressure zone of this likely new hurricane is located 630 kilometers south of Puerto Ángel, Oaxaca . It is moving at a speed of 16 to 24 km/h (9 to 15 mph), heading west-northwest.

Let's remember that in our country, the hurricane season has not yet ended , with a couple of them forming in the Pacific region.

In addition to this low-pressure zone near Oaxaca, Conagua is also monitoring two risk zones in the Pacific Ocean . Both have different probabilities of development, but are much further from the country.

The first is located 2,675 kilometers west-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur . It has a 60 percent chance of cyclone development within 48 hours to 7 days and is moving west at 16 km/h.

The second, on the other hand, is located 3,690 kilometers west-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur . It has an 80 percent chance of developing a hurricane within 48 hours to 7 days, and there is no information yet on its movement.
