Eurovision 2025: Schedule for the second semifinal and which countries are participating

Eurovision 2025 , one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, has begun. This 69th edition is being held in Basel, Switzerland , and is packed with surprises.

Melody is the artist representing Spain at the festival. Although the odds weren't on her as a good performer, the Sevillian has been improving over the weeks. Now she has to showcase all her talent live and convince Europe that she has what it takes to win.

The grand final is this Saturday, May 17. However, two semifinals are held beforehand. The first is on Tuesday, May 13, and 15 countries will participate. In the second, on Thursday, May 15 , 16 countries will compete for a place.

It's worth remembering that the so-called Big Five and the host have already qualified, so they have nothing to play for in this phase. However, these territories have a fundamental role to play: they will decide who advances to the final round . Thus, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain will vote in the first semifinal. Germany, France, and the United Kingdom will do so in the second.

Sixteen countries are participating in the second semifinal of Eurovision 2025. Those in charge of choosing who advances to the final are Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
