Hiker turns around and catches his breath in the second bull run

Hiker turns around and catches his breath in the second bull run

The second running of the bulls of San Fermín 2025 was dangerous and exciting. One of the brave Cebada Gago bulls fell behind in Estafeta and was twirling back and forth until, with the help of the shepherds and the tame ones, it entered the Pamplona bullring at 5:22. At least one person was gored, according to the initial report from the Red Cross.

The bulls from the Cadiz ranch lived up to their reputation, with a run that left people breathless at many points. Specifically, due to the way Caminante, weighing 570 kg, moved, turning at one point in the run, becoming isolated from the herd amid a large crowd, and he had been making a lot of noise from the start.

The herd arrived at Mercaderes very stretched out, and from there it began to split slightly. Caminante, lagging behind the group, charged forward and back, despite the shepherds' attempts to keep the bull on course. There were pile-ups at various points along the route, and, as we saw, some gorings.

The most dangerous moment came just a few meters from the alley leading into the bullring. The bull charged backward once again, with many runners coming at him. And, having already been passed by the herders, it was thanks to the tame trailing herds (who do not start with the herd from the start) that the bull was prevented from being caught at that point, as they were able to get him back on track.

According to the Red Cross provisional report, five injured people have been transported. Four of them suffered bruises to the shoulders, legs, and face; and one was gored.
