Following Israel's June 13 airstrike against nuclear facilities in Iran, and Tehran's subsequent response with more than 150 missiles and 100 drones, the conflict entered a US-mediated ceasefire on June 24. Although minor attacks persist, the truce remains in place, with simmering tensions and the region on alert.
Israel claims the bombings have set back Iran's nuclear program for years, while Iran minimizes the damage. Washington is pushing for a new round of negotiations with key demands: an end to uranium enrichment and missile restrictions, in exchange for economic relief. Without concrete progress, the possibility of a new escalation remains.
