This Monday afternoon, Natalia Lafourcade announced on Instagram that she is five months pregnant. The 41-year-old Mexican composer published an album with 11 photographs in which she shares scenes from her life on and off stage, landscapes, rehearsals, and, of course, images of her pregnancy: a shadow in which a new curve can be seen on her belly, portraits in front of the mirror documenting how the pregnancy has progressed, and a family photo with her husband, Juan Pablo López Fonseca, and their cat. “Five months and we're still on tour, five months and we're still growing. There is a beautiful being inside my body and I definitely didn't expect this,” she captioned her post, which so far has more than 200,000 likes and over 6,000 comments.

Among the messages of affection are those from singers Julieta Venegas , María Azpiazi, from the duo María Daniela y su Sonido Lasser, Silvana Estrada , Mon Laferte, actress Ilse Salas, chefs Gabriela Cámara, Daniela Soto Innes and Gabriela Ruiz, and a host of personalities who were moved along with all the followers of the Veracruz artist.

This comes as she continues her Cancionera Tour , which began in April in Mexico and ends in Miami on October 26, when she will be approximately eight months pregnant. Next up, Lafourcade will be performing in Sieso de Huesca, Spain, on July 12, where she has four more dates scheduled. She will also perform in Switzerland (with a date on July 15), the United States, Canada, and Mexico. "See you very soon in Spain. In the meantime, we will continue to grow," she also posted on her social media account.

Natalia Lafourcade and Juan Pablo López Fonseca married in 2021, although they have kept their relationship private. They have also collaborated on some of the singer's music videos. López Fonseca has served as a producer and filmmaker on music documentaries such as Quién me tañe, escucha mis voces; Hasta la raíz (Who Plays, Hears My Voices); and Musas (Muses) , for which he was nominated, along with Natalia Lafourcade, for the Latin Grammy Awards . Of the three nominations, at the 18th edition, he won the award for Best Long Form Music Video for the Musas documentary, and in 2023, he won the award in the same category for Hasta la raíz: el documental (Half the Root: The Documentary).
