Santos Laguna: Warriors visit the Águilas del América

The Warriors will face a tough match tonight in the nation's capital, when they visit the Águilas del América, the current Liga MX runner-up, at the Estadio de la Ciudad de los Deportes.
In the matchday 12 of the 2025 Apertura Tournament, Santos Laguna is in danger against the Azulcremas. The match will kick off at 9:05 p.m. and will be refereed by Veracruz native Maximiliano Quintero Hernández, who will be assisted on the sidelines by Jonathan Maximiliano Gómez and Jesús Lorenzo Soto Dávila.
The Laguna team is coming off a narrow defeat in the Sultana del Norte against the Rayados of Monterrey, while the Plumados defeated the Pumas of UNAM 4-1 in the capital's derby.
The Albiverdes will be looking for their fourth win of the tournament and thus continue to climb the standings. In this tournament, they previously defeated Pumas, Chivas, and Tijuana, keeping a clean sheet in all three matches.
For this match, Santos will have Bruno Barticciotto back, who served a one-match suspension. The Chilean forward has scored eight goals in 17 matches for the Verdiblancos.
Due to suspension, they will be without Colombian defender Kevin Balanta and Honduran forward Antony “Choco” Lozano.
Colombian Cristian Dájome is Santos' top scorer this season, with four goals. The Colombian player has played 578 minutes in the current tournament.
In addition, the Warriors have played 827 minutes in the youth team table.
Beyond the field, and as part of the Warriors of Heart social responsibility program, the entire Santos Laguna squad participated in a volunteer program at EDUSER Reforma last Tuesday, impacting more than 500 children and young people in vulnerable situations.
Various activities took place during the visit, including the inauguration of a play center, thanks to donations from the 2025 Guerretón.
A soccer clinic and socializing between players and students was held, along with a distribution of school supplies and motivational talks.
