New Invima warning about dietary supplement that can cause heart disease and skin damage: this is what the product looks like.

The National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance ( Invima ) issued a new alert for a fraudulent product called INTYPROB , which is offered as a dietary supplement.
The item, identified by authorities as having a pink cap and label, does not have a health registration; therefore, its sale in Colombia is illegal.

The alleged supplement is from a brand called Intylact . It comes in a 60-capsule presentation.
The fraudulent product's packaging claims to "promote vaginal health, improve digestive regularity, restore vaginal flora and pH balance, and strengthen the immune system."
However, " INTYPROB does not correspond to any supplement authorized by the Directorate of Drugs and Biological Products of Invima," the institute warned.

The product violates current regulations established in Decree 3249 of 2006, which governs the manufacturing, marketing, packaging, labeling, sanitary registration, quality control, and surveillance of dietary supplements.
What can the consumption of the supposed supplement generate? According to Invima, consumption of the alleged supplement can cause:
- Elevated blood pressure and palpitations
- Heart disease
- Nervousness
- Anxiety
- Tremors
- Insomnia
- Nightmares
- Fatigue
- Fluid retention
- Edema
- Damage to organs such as the skin, kidneys, and liver.

People consuming the product should immediately discontinue use and report any contraindications to [email protected].
"Invima recommends that the community refrain from purchasing or consuming INTYPROB and always verify that any medication or dietary supplement has a valid health registration through the agency's official website," the institute states.
William Saza Londoño, coordinator of the Invima Pharmacovigilance Group, points out that "it is essential that consumers be aware that a product without sanitary registration offers no guarantees of quality, safety, or efficacy. Its actual contents and production conditions are unknown, which can put the health of those who consume it at risk."
