The government bans entry of Israeli ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir

The government has approved a ban on entry to Spain for far-right Israeli ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir as part of the package of measures adopted to stop the "genocide" in Gaza.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, announced today at the end of the Council of Ministers in which the green light was given to the nine measures against Israel advanced yesterday by Pedro Sánchez , described as " anti-Semitic " by Israel, the ban on entry to Spain of the Israeli ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir.
According to Albares, Ben Gvir, Minister of National Security, and Smotrich, Minister of Finance , will be included in the list of sanctioned persons , which already includes some Israeli settlers, and " will not be able to enter Spanish territory" , in addition to being included in the Schengen information system.
The government is responding to the decision by Benjamin Netanyahu's administration to ban Second Vice President Yolanda Díaz and Youth Minister Sira Rego from entering Israel , in response to the measures announced by Sánchez, which include an arms embargo. This also follows the decision to recall the ambassador in Tel Aviv, Ana María Salomon, for consultations.
