Samsung refreshed its foldable phones with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7: how much do they cost and when will they arrive in Argentina?

Samsung held a new unpacked event to unveil its new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Fold7 . This new launch makes it clear that we are no longer facing a passing fad but rather a commitment to a different phone that has gained market share and the affection of users with each new version.

What's new in these brand new foldable phones ? There's an evolution in both hardware and smart features with the full integration of Galaxy AI , the new One UI 8 interface, and a renewed focus on design, performance, and productivity. But these are also changes forced by the intense current competition from other brands that have ventured into foldable models and raised the bar in terms of design and power.

The new Z Flip7 continues to bet on the clamshell format, but adds key improvements: it is the thinnest in the series (13.7 mm folded), weighing just 188 grams , and a new 4.1-inch FlexWindow that covers almost the entire outer lid. From this screen you can reply to messages, check your calendar, control music or take professional-quality selfies, without opening the phone.

Another new feature is the integration of Samsung DeX , which turns the Flip7 into a mini workstation when connected to a display. It also adds a larger battery (4300 mAh, up to 31 hours of video playback), reinforced resistance with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Armor Aluminum frame , and a 3nm processor designed specifically for Galaxy.

As for the camera, Samsung included a new 50MP + 12MP dual-camera system, with AI-powered features like Real-Time Filters , Portrait Studio for pets , and the innovative Zoom Slider for hands-free selfies. And for fans of the virtual assistant, Gemini Live now lets you make voice requests directly from the FlexWindow.

Samsung also announced a more affordable version: the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE , with the same 6.7" internal screen and 50 MP camera, designed for those who want to enter the foldable world without paying the highest price.

The Z Fold7 is Samsung's most ambitious offering yet: a device with a dual screen, a 200 MP camera, AI editing features, and the thinnest and lightest form factor in its series to date. It weighs just 215 grams , measures 9 mm closed (4.2 mm open), and manages to integrate improvements on all fronts without losing strength.

The internal display is an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X , 11% larger than the previous generation. The external display, now wider (21:9), is 6.5 inches. Both include Vision Booster and reach a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits , ideal for using the phone even in direct sunlight.

Internally, the Fold7 incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy , with performance increases of 41% in AI, 38% in CPU and 26% in GPU compared to the previous model. In addition, it adds a 200 MP main camera , 10-bit HDR video recording and a new layer of creative editing with tools such as Photo Assist , Generative Edit and Audio Eraser .

This model also makes better use of its large screen: you can view AI-powered search results in floating windows, drag elements from one app to another (Drag & Drop), and use assisted drawing and writing functions.

The new foldable phones will be available in Argentina starting August 8 , with exclusive pre-orders at samsung.com.ar . Pricing has not yet been set for Argentina, but prices are expected to be similar to their predecessors.
