Elon Musk puts pressure on administrations with a ranking of their savings made

It's a competition. Elon Musk posted on X a link to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) website where US government departments are ranked according to their savings. For now, this ranking only presents a list of departments, without specifying what data it is based on.
At the top of the ranking is the Department of Education, and at the bottom is the Department of State. Below this ranking is also a "revenue wall," which is intended to list the savings made.
However, the data has been criticized by several experts who have spotted glaring miscalculations, confusing millions with billions . According to CBS News , Doge misinterpreted the nature of several documents, leading him to overestimate the savings efforts by $1.96 billion.
Additionally, Musk's boasted budget cuts have some experts concerned that they could compromise the United States' ability to manage potential future crises, including a pandemic.
For example, the Doge proceeded to dismiss around twenty officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American administration responsible for monitoring food products and drugs within the United States.
"DOGE's estimated total savings are $65 billion," the Doge website states, specifying that these savings are to be found in "a combination of fraud detection/removal, contract/lease cancellations, contract/lease renegotiations, asset sales, grant cancellations, staff reductions, program changes, and regulatory savings."
