Gleizé (69): from his building, a drone pilot delivered dozens of packages daily to inmates at Villefranche remand center. Already convicted of similar offenses, two years in prison

This Monday, a young resident of Gleizé (Rhône) was tried by the Villefranche-sur-Saône Criminal Court. He was suspected of having set up a thriving business delivering parcels by drone to inmates at the Villefranche remand center.
Using the drone's remote control, it was determined that it had made 194 trips to the Villefranche remand center between July 6 and 26! That's potentially dozens of daily deliveries. The police eventually spotted its little antics, and all they had to do was follow the drone to its home to catch it.
Before the judges, the defendant, who already has several convictions on his criminal record, including one for similar offenses , swore that he was not involved in the case. And that he kept the drone at home because local thugs forced him to do so. […] He was jailed after the hearing, which will allow him to explore the area in a way other than by air.
