Les Repôts. Sunny Boy, the pony, is once again French champion.

The particularity of one of the smallest communes in the Jura is to have a Shetland pony three times awarded a French champion title thanks to Karine Boissard and her breeding.

The Pirouette pony club, managed by Karine, can be proud of the work accomplished since 2008 in discovering horse riding thanks to this breed of pony, the Shetland, which allows children from the age of 2 to become familiar with this animal. The breeding part ensures descendants of a French champion.

It was in an international competition in Lignières (Cher), which took place on August 10th in the presence of 500 Shetland pony from 10 countries such as Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, etc. that the pony Sunny Boy distinguished himself. Aged 19, he performed his tests in the “models and gaits” category in front of an international jury, a test which judges his morphology and gait.

Titles that have followed one after the other since he was very young, junior, senior and now veteran reserved for Shetland Islands aged over 16.

His daughters Dixie and Cacahuète finished second out of twenty participants in their senior female categories.

Two open days, on Saturday, September 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on September 10 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., will allow you to discover these champions, and why not ride them.
