As of noon on Friday, August 1st , these water usage restrictions were still in effect. Subscribers were notified by the Alsace-Moselle Water and Sanitation Union (SDEA) via a tele-alert received on their phones. During this period, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended not to drink tap water. For food preparation or brushing teeth, it is necessary to boil the water for at least 5 minutes. The water remains drinkable for all other uses and there is no risk for pets.
