Strasbourg. Dangers of additives: UFC-Que Choisir raises awareness among passersby on Rue des Grandes Arcades

"Do you know the dangers of additives?" asks Hélène Wolff, vice-president of UFC-Que Choisir in the Bas-Rhin region . Dressed all in yellow, she called out to passersby on Rue des Grandes Arcades this Wednesday, May 14, to show them that food, cosmetic, and household products are full of harmful substances. "This also applies to organic products," say members of the consumer association. A UFC study lists 87 food additives to avoid out of the 300 authorized ones.

"We know that additives exist, but we don't really know what they are," admits Nathalie, 52, who has been paying particular attention to the association's message. This is why UFC-Que Choisir is presenting a new version of its QuelProduit app, which lists more than 370,000 products, their dangers, and alternatives.
