Marion Maréchal and her husband victims of a violent car accident in Italy
MEP Marion Maréchal, formerly of Reconquête, and her husband were involved in a traffic accident in Calabria. They are currently in hospital for observation.
MEP Marion Maréchal and her husband Vincenzo Sofo were victims of a violent road accident this Saturday, August 16 in Calabria, BFMTV learned from the elected official's entourage.
The couple was hit head-on by another car, which had swerved to avoid an animal. Marion Maréchal and her husband, a former Italian MEP close to Giorgia Meloni, escaped without serious injuries. They remain under observation in hospital for the time being.
"We saw death hit us hard, but we truly had a miracle: we came out alive and without serious injuries," the Italian wrote on his Instagram account, sharing a photo of himself and Marion Maréchal.
"Don't worry: we are already working to get back on our feet quickly," he added.
