The next G7 summit will take place in Evian, France.

From Canada, where he was participating in the final day of the G7 summit, Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday, June 17, in a short video published on X, that France will take over the rotating presidency of the group in January 2026 and that it will host the summit the following year in Évian-les-Bains (Haute-Savoie).

" This is an opportunity for France to bring its priorities to the international stage, particularly the fight against climate change and the strengthening of the economic sovereignty of democracies ," the president said.

Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, on the Swiss border, Évian-les-Bains already hosted a summit in 2003. The last French edition of the summit was held in Biarritz in August 2019.
