A section of the A4 motorway near Milan will be closed.

A section of the A4 Milan-Brescia motorway will be closed to traffic during the night between Monday and Tuesday, July 15. The closure will begin at 9:00 PM and end at 5:00 AM, and will affect the section between Sesto San Giovanni and Milan Viale Certosa (towards Turin).
The Autostrade company announced the incident in a statement. The Sesto San Giovanni and Cormano junctions (in both directions) and the "Lambro Nord" and "Novate Nord" service areas will also remain closed.
Alternative routesFor those heading towards Milan and Varese: after the mandatory exit at the Sesto San Giovanni junction, take the SS36 towards Lecco, continue on the A52 Tangenziale Nord towards Rho and join the A8 to resume your journey towards Milan or Varese. For travelers heading towards Turin: after the mandatory exit at the Sesto San Giovanni junction, take the SS36 towards Lecco, continue towards Rho on the A52 Tangenziale Nord and the Raccordo Fiera Milano (R37), take the A50 Tangenziale Ovest towards Bologna and join the A4 through the Milano Ghisolfa junction, towards Turin.
