Cinema, Dg Mic Borrelli resigns: Giuli takes note and thanks him

(Adnkronos) – The Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, acknowledges the resignation just received from the Director General of Cinema and Audiovisual, Nicola Borrelli. He thanks him and confirms his esteem for the work done so far.
The Cinema and Audiovisual Directorate of the MIC, led by Borrelli, had been linked in recent days to the case of Francis Kaufmann, the man accused of the double murder of his partner Anastasia Trofimova and her 11-month-old daughter Andromeda, found dead in Villa Pamphili, Rome.
The Rome prosecutor's office has acquired from the MIC the documents relating to the funds amounting to 863 thousand euros in the form of tax credit for the making of the film 'Stars of the Night', never distributed. The investigations are aimed at understanding whether the money was only deliberated or also given away. A possible new line of investigation that could lead to the opening of a new file, in which Kaufmann could also appear as an injured party in a fraud or attempted fraud against the State.
