" There's nothing wrong with a revitalization here, just confusion and silence. The workers of GPS, the company that manages paid parking in Foggia, have been left alone at the mercy of solidarity contracts, reduced hours, and reduced wages, while no one at City Hall takes responsibility to explain what's happening." These are the comments of Joseph Splendido, provincial commissioner for the League and deputy regional commissioner, and Alfonso Carella , deputy provincial commissioner for the League, commenting on the news of the extension of the solidarity contract for the employees of the municipality's in-house company.

"We're talking about parents who don't know what to expect next month," they continue, "and meanwhile, the city administration is locked in an embarrassing silence. No business plan, no idea how to relaunch the parking service, no protections for workers. If this is the council's strategic vision, we're in a truly dire situation."

Splendido and Carella add: "The League stands with the workers and demands immediate clarity: who is really running GPS? What are the real numbers? What is the plan to do to ensure a decent service to the city and decent jobs for its employees? For now, the only thing that's certain is that, while the "It's a Whole Different Story" propaganda continues, Foggia families must face reality: job insecurity and a complete lack of planning. If they can't even manage the companies that manage the municipal parking service, they should say so clearly," they conclude, "but stop mocking those who work there and those who, every day, wait for answers that never arrive."
