Pavia, luxury shopping. A freshman attacker

Newly promoted Pavia have made some exciting transfer moves ahead of the Serie D national championship, which kicks off on Sunday, September 7th. The Azzurri management has announced the signings of top-flight forwards Vincenzo Alfiero , who played for Vado last season, where he scored 15 goals, and Matteo Saccà , formerly of NovaRomentin, where he scored an impressive 20 goals in the season that ended in early May. These two players are capable of making a difference, demonstrating President Nucera's determination to immediately challenge for the top spot. This offensive line will also be enhanced by the re-signings of Matteo Ardemagni, Fabio Perna, and the young Polish player Mateusz Chmarek, a 21-year-old returning from his hometown's Serie B season with Ruch Chorzow. The defense has also seen a significant addition with the arrival of Alessandro Biagioni, born in 2003, who has just finished an excellent season with Tuscan side Tau Altopascio. Regarding the Under 18 squad, the management has officially announced the additions of eighteen-year-old defender Giovanni De Simone, a Parma player, and midfielder Edoardo Cecchi, acquired from Zenith Prato. The midfield will be enhanced by Simone Pagni, formerly of Sora, and Emanuele Sofio, a product of the Pavia youth system. Promising winger Antony Pace, acquired from AC Milan's youth system, will also play on the banks of the Naviglio. There are also new additions in goal, with Davide Bifulco, born in 2006, formerly of Monza, and Riccardo Dieni, a key player from the Under 18 team, joining the first team. Following the resounding victory in the Excellence Tournament, Matteo Cincilla, captain Jacopo Concina, Gianluca Nucera, Pietro Itraloni, Davide Di Quinzio, and Youns El Hilali, the players responsible for the club's move to Italy's top amateur league, have also been confirmed. Further announcements are expected soon.

All that remains is to wait for the training camp to kick off: preparations will begin on July 29th at the Pietro Fortunati Stadium under the command of reconfirmed coach Stefano Bellinzaghi, who could opt for a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 tactical formation given the team's enormous attacking potential. The friendlies schedule should be finalized in the coming days, pending the group draw (expected in early August), which could lead to two provincial derbies against Vogherese and Oltrepò.
