Sports bonus for children under 14 unlocked

Finally, last week, the implementing decree was released unlocking the sports bonus for children under 14 (but over six years old), introduced by the 2025 budget law. The measure is aimed at families with an ISEE of €15,000 or less and is limited to a maximum of €300 for sports and recreational activities carried out at amateur sports associations and clubs or third sector organizations.
"The Italian Sports Center welcomed the initiative included in the Government's Budget Law," commented Vittorio Bosio, President of the Italian Sports Center – CSI . "We immediately informed our affiliates, inviting them to participate in the call for proposals. This opportunity will allow them to engage more families in need throughout Italy, promoting inclusion and education through sport, especially for those boys and girls who cannot afford it. For 80 years, the CSI has promoted sport with educational objectives and a focus on developing the next generation, leaving no one behind. We can only applaud the Family Endowment Fund and be delighted with this bonus to support parenting by covering extracurricular expenses for families with minor children."

The contribution will be paid directly to the organizations that have previously requested the Department of Sport to be included in the list of participating organizations. Families may apply directly online, according to the deadlines and procedures established by the Department , for a sports course—or recreational activity—with at least two sessions per week, which must begin by December 15th and conclude by June 30th, 2026.
