Just a few moments: the nosedive, the crash, and the flames. The tragedy unfolded in a matter of seconds, shortly after noon on Tuesday, July 22nd, on the Corda Molle near the Azzano Mella exit. The dramatic accident was captured on roadside cameras. Sergio Ravaglia, a Milanese lawyer, and his partner, Anna Maria De Stefano, lost their lives. They were aboard an ultralight aircraft that had taken off from Piacenza when, for reasons still under investigation, it crashed into the ground in the Brescia area . Immediately after impact, the aircraft caught fire. At the time, two cars were passing along the road, passing through the wall of flames almost unscathed. The occupants of both vehicles did not suffer serious injuries. The rescue operations and securing the road were complex and lasted several hours.
