Vincenzo Garofalo returns to Foggia: his return to AC Milan is official, with a contract until 2027.

Calcio Foggia 1920 has made official the permanent purchase of Vincenzo Garofalo , a midfielder born in 1999 who has already worn the Rossoneri shirt for two seasons between 2020 and 2022. The player has committed to the club until 30 June 2027 , with the option for a further season.

A return strongly desired by both parties, as confirmed by the player's first words: " Returning to Foggia is a special feeling , and I really wanted it despite having other requests. I've experienced important moments here, and I feel a strong bond with this club. I couldn't wait to embrace this city and these fans again."

A journey between Serie C and Serie B

Born in Lioni (Avellino) on August 8, 1999, Garofalo grew up in the youth academies of Spezia and Salernitana . After initial experiences among the amateurs with Potenza and Pro Piacenza , he made his professional debut with Rieti in the 2018/19 season. The following year, he wore the shirts of Sambenedettese and Avellino , before arriving in Foggia in the summer of 2020.

Garofalo immediately became a key player for AC Milan, making 65 appearances and scoring six goals in two consecutive Serie C campaigns, standing out for his technical quality and tactical intelligence. His performances attracted the interest of Brescia , who signed him in 2022. He made three appearances in Serie B, before moving to Lega Pro with Trento (on loan), Virtus Francavilla , and finally Messina , where he played his final season facing Foggia in the play-offs.

Garofalo arrives in Foggia with great enthusiasm and the knowledge that he's already well-known and appreciated by the fans. " I'll give my all for these colors ," he declared. "I'm fired up, motivated, and ready to fight for this jersey again."

Foggia thus finds a complete midfielder , already experienced in the environment and ready to contribute immediately to the new sporting project.
