With a machine gun at the feast of San Nicola, 17-year-old from Bari ends up in a community

BARI - The 17-year-old arrested on the evening of May 7 at the amusement park on the Bari seafront, during the celebrations for San Nicola, with a submachine gun in his bag, ends up in a community. The boy, who is being prosecuted by the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, explained to the judge that he had brought the weapon with him "out of fear". He feared - this was his story in a nutshell - that he would encounter members of criminal groups that were rivals to the one close to his family, the Strisciuglio del San Paolo, and for this reason he had decided to go out armed. He preferred not to answer, however, the questions about where and from whom he had obtained the submachine gun, which had no round in the chamber but was equipped with a magazine and bullets.
