AC/DC, showtime: the stage is taking shape. Traffic plan and local health services.

Imola, July 18, 2025 – The paddock at the Autodromo is a work in progress . The stage where Max Pezzali performed last Saturday in front of 85,000 spectators has been dismantled. Workers and technicians are hard at work setting up the area that will host AC/DC's concert on Sunday. The Australian band will return to Imola ten years after their 2015 show. And 70,000 fans will be waiting for them.
The new stage will still be located near the medical center, although at first glance it appears to be slightly more oriented toward Rivazza than the Pezzali stage. The hill will be divided into two areas: a grandstand and a grassy area. The heart of the Enzo e Dino Ferrari will be divided into four zones: Pit A, B, C, and D (only the last two sectors, furthest from the stage, are still available). For the paddock, as well as for the Rivazza grassy area, entry is available from 1 pm from the Viale Dante bridge. The gate to the Rivazza grandstand, on Via dei Colli, will open at 4:30 pm . The Pretty Reckless are expected on stage at 7 pm; AC/DC at 8:30 pm.

It will be necessary to try to avoid the audio problems complained of by several spectators (in the second half of the paddock) last Saturday, apparently due to a change in wind direction compared to practice. As for traffic, the queues entering and especially exiting are likely to recur. Local police commander Massimiliano Galloni has signed the usual order closing the roads around the circuit and authorizing officers to take additional measures to ease traffic flow (road closures and one-way systems) as appropriate.
Mayor Marco Panieri has recently reiterated the call to travel to Imola by train, to avoid excessive road traffic. AC/DC fans will be encouraged to arrive in Imola well in advance (a fan zone in Piazza Matteotti will be open starting tomorrow) and to stay after the concert (unlike the Pezzali show, the Acque Minerali campsite will also be open).
Healthcare workers are also working overtime as usual. The Local Health Authority (AUSL) has strengthened its 118 emergency medical service with additional medical and nursing staff and emergency vehicles, ensuring operational continuity in the emergency room, emergency medicine , and throughout the emergency and admissions departments. The traditional advanced medical post at the Romeo Galli Stadium is now operational. Neighboring hospitals have been pre-alerted regarding their potential involvement.
"Many staff have made their extraordinary commitment to ensure the health and safety of both event participants and all residents in our neighborhood," explains Rodolfo Ferrari, director of the Emergency Department and Emergency Medicine at the Local Health Authority. "Sunday is expected to be a very hot day, so certain behaviors that make a difference are essential : drink plenty of water, in small sips throughout the day even if you're not thirsty; eat lightly, avoid alcohol and iced drinks, avoid psychoactive substances, protect your head with a hat or bandana, and limit direct exposure to the sun as much as possible. Avoid physical exertion and try to get comfortable, whether sitting or lying down, rising carefully and gradually when necessary."
