Border Tastes: Info on special trains, shuttle buses, and parking

“ Gusti di Frontiera ” 2025, scheduled from Thursday 25 September to Sunday 28 September , is preparing to welcome a truly exceptional number of participants .
The Municipality of Gorizia, the organizer, has once again confirmed this year that it will be expanding its public transport service to allow tourists and enthusiasts to reach the largest food and wine festival in the Triveneto region. As in previous editions, thanks to the key role of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the renewed partnership with Trenitalia , a special train service will be activated connecting other cities in the region. This service has been increasingly appreciated by the public over the years, achieving extraordinary passenger numbers aboard regional trains .
For those who choose to travel to Gorizia by their own means, "Gusti di Frontiera" will also be offering a free shuttle bus service this year, in collaboration with the ATP (Provincial Transport Company of Gorizia). This service will ensure visitors arrive in the city center from the convenient free park-and-ride parking lots, with departures approximately every 15 minutes.
Furthermore, the cross-border bus line between Gorizia and Nova Gorica, already in operation, will be expanded : a greater number of trips will be guaranteed to ensure a constant connection between the two cities during the event.
FREE TRAINS AND SHUTTLE BUSES
During the event , Trenitalia will operate 73 regular trains , in addition to 55 special trains to and from Gorizia , with departures until 3:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings. During the event, discounted fares are available, with a 20% discount on tickets for children under 26 on Fridays and for everyone on Saturdays and Sundays. From Friday to Sunday, children under 12 travel free when accompanied by at least one paying adult. Please purchase your return ticket at the same time as your outward journey. For more information, visit Trenitalia.
The free shuttle bus service is also active this year, providing transportation to the city center for visitors from the convenient , free parking lots nearby and from the station . The Yellow shuttle bus runs from Via Mameli to Via Montesanto-Piazza Transalpina. The Blue shuttle bus runs from the Via Cordon parking lots to Corso Italia 80, and the Orange shuttle bus runs from the train station to Corso Italia 80.
On Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September the service will be active from 5pm to 3am , while on Sunday 28th September the service is guaranteed from 11am to midnight .
The organization of transportation for the event is the result of extensive collaboration between organizations to ensure the best possible experience for all participants and ensure safe and convenient travel.
SAFETY PLAN

Naturally, the utmost attention on the part of the relevant institutions is reconfirmed, to guarantee that the event takes place in complete safety for visitors and participants.
A total of 350 operators will be involved in the "Gusti" days, calling upon the commitment of all law enforcement agencies, starting with the Local Police Command , the Carabinieri , the Guardia di Finanza, the State Police , and the Civil Protection Department, in collaboration with numerous " stewards " who will man the entrance points designated for access to the event.
