Large-scale retail trade continues to grow in July

The growth of Italian large-scale retail trade continues. Between July 7th and 13th, national modern retail trade recorded a +1.58% increase compared to the same period last year, according to NielsenIQ data : this continues the positive trend of the month, which began with a 3.81% increase .

More specifically, the macro-area reporting the highest increase is the South (Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, and Sicily) with a +4.18%. This is followed by the Center (Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio, and Sardinia) and the Northwest (Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta, Liguria, and Lombardy), which recorded +1.36% and +1.12%, respectively. Growth in the Northeast (Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia) was slower, at 0.31%.

The annual progressive figure decreases slightly, going from +3.18% last week to +3.13%.
