Stellantis, new stop at the Cassino Plant

Stellantis, new stop at the Cassino Plant

New stop for the Stellantis Cassino Plant: the gates will remain closed from today until July 7. But rumors from union sources predict that the stop will be extended until the middle of the next month. The measure was adopted due to the lack of orders for the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio and for the Maserati Grecale that are produced on the Piedimonte San Germano lines.

With this new stop, Cassino Plant has worked just 61 days since the beginning of the year out of a total of 111 potential working days, with 50 days of downtime and almost all due to the same cause. In the second half of 2024, from July 30 to mid-September there were still 50 days of downtime between summer holidays and shock absorbers. To reverse the trend, they are trying to adapt the future electric models of Stelvio and Giulia, practically ready, to a hybrid engine.

Between the end of July and the first ten days of August, the visit of the new CEO Antonio Filosa is expected, but not yet confirmed. The Cassino Plant workforce is less than 2500 units and production, once on three shifts, is now concentrated on a single work shift.
