Google to unveil the Pixel 10 on August 20

Google has officially announced that the next Made by Google event will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in New York, starting at 1 p.m. ET (7 p.m. Italian time) and will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel. This symbolic setting, chosen by Google for the first time, marks the tenth anniversary of the Pixel line. Today, the Pixel line is a complete family: the Pixel 10 "standard," the Pixel 10 Pro, the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google's first foldable device with IP68 certification, are expected. Three of these devices have already been identified in the FCC and IMDA databases.

In common, the new range is expected to have the Tensor G5 chip, a 3?nm version of the Mountain View chip produced by TSMC, which according to the latest rumors should guarantee a performance increase of up to 36% on Geekbench compared to the G4. The on-board artificial intelligence will be further enhanced with new features that improve photos, videos and interaction modes.

The base model is expected to feature a 50MP main sensor, 11MP ultrawide-angle and telephoto lenses with a periscope, while the Pro variants could use a consolidated 48MP setup for wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses. The foldable will reportedly offer a dual selfie camera and advanced video stabilization.

On the display front, all models will adopt 120Hz OLED panels and the foldable is expected to feature a 6.4” external display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, while the internal display will maintain the 8” already experienced on the previous generation. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will increase the battery to 5,015mAh, combined with 23W wired fast charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, a clear step forward compared to the previous generation and the competition.

The Pixel 10 series will also introduce Android 16 QPR1 , accompanied by the new Material 3 Expressive interface. This update promises a richer and more dynamic visual language, more customizable themes, and smoother animations. New Gemini AI-based features will likely be natively integrated into the operating system.

New features are also expected at the event for other products in the Pixel ecosystem: the new Pixel Watch 4 , in two sizes, with Wear OS 6 and battery life improvements, the Pixel Buds 2a in more affordable versions and a new line of magnetic Pixel Snap accessories.
