An association reports that Red Eléctrica is hiding data from part of the energy sector after the blackout.

The Association of Electric Power Companies (Aelec) has reported that Red Eléctrica Española has not informed them of what happened last Monday, April 28, when Spain was plunged into a global blackout that left the country without power for approximately ten hours.
Marina Serrano, president of Aelec, states that "generators are a fundamental part of the system, and it's surprising that they were only asked for data, but without receiving any answers about how the rest of the system has performed."
"It's also surprising that, in an interconnected and interrelated system, Red Eléctrica Española has not yet provided information to generators and distributors about what happened on April 28," he added.
According to Serrano, "given that the electric power companies don't have access to data from REE—the system operator and, therefore, the one who has had the necessary data from the outset to diagnose what happened—and in order to highlight the habitual role played by generators and distributors, we need to participate in the commission of inquiry."
Indeed, Aelec, "as the largest association representing the country's main electricity companies, will request to be one of the parties involved in this investigation," says Serrano.
"We believe that both this commission and the assessment should include the widest possible representation of the agents to whom the system operator has sent real-time instructions on the day of zero supply," adds Marina Serrano, who added that Aelec proposes including generation and distribution agents on the commission.
