INE guarantees 'maximum transparency' in election counts

CDMX.- The National Electoral Institute (INE) affirmed that the 300 district councils comprised of citizen advisory committees and electoral officials will conduct the counts for the June 1 judicial election with maximum transparency.
In a statement, the institute explained that the counting and registration of votes will be carried out by working groups once the ballot packages arrive at the district council headquarters.

The groups will be comprised of Scrutiny and Counting Points, Transfer Assistants, Documentation Assistants, a General Assistant, a Control Assistant, the Group President, and a District Councilor.
The working groups will have between eight and 10 counting and counting points, each staffed by two people: the Counting Assistant, who will remove each ballot from the envelope, review each vote, and issue the results twice; and the Capture and Verification Assistant, who will record the candidate numbers in the Counting System, confirm the information by double-entry, and save the results.
The international organization stated that, in order to ensure the transparency of this procedure, it will make an unprecedented effort to install cameras at the locations where the vote counting and counting will take place so that citizens can observe its progress.
They explained that as the votes are registered and counted by polling station, the tallies will be signed and digitized for online publication, so that the results can be viewed in real time on the INE website.
The institute indicated that the district counts for the six elections will be carried out from June 1 to 10 as follows: Justices of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (June 1-3), Magistrates of the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal (June 3-4), Magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (June 4-5), Magistrates of the Regional Chambers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (June 5-6), Circuit Magistrates (June 6-8) and District Judges (June 7-10).
On June 12, the state-by-state count will be conducted. This involves validating the results recorded by the district councils in the Counting System for five elections: for the Supreme Court, the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal, the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal, the Circuit Magistrates' Offices, and the District Judges' Offices.
