Máynez condemns the lack of security for the elections in Veracruz

It was reported on May 3 that the national coordinator of the Citizen Movement ( MC ), Jorge Álvarez Máynez, denounced that security in Veracruz is almost nonexistent, with daily homicides and organized crime spread throughout the state.
" The security issue is very complicated because the institutional capacities of the municipalities are limited and because organized crime has had a very high capacity to expand within the territory, " the former presidential candidate noted.

Former presidential candidate Máynez visited Veracruz to support some of the municipal presidential candidates in the 212 municipalities. He believed that threats to candidates should be lower, but only a few have reported them.
" The fact that 12 or 14 candidates have reported threats doesn't mean that the others aren't experiencing them. Security is a complicated issue in the state of Veracruz," Máynez said.
