Robbed a store in Saltillo with a fake gun; stole 30,000 pesos

The Saltillo Police Station for Citizen Security and Protection reported the arrest of a 21-year-old young man , identified as Raúl Eduardo “N” , for his probable participation in a robbery with violence that occurred on April 30 at a grocery store located on Vito Alessio Robles Boulevard .

According to the official report, the Municipal Police received notice of the robbery, and thanks to surveillance cameras , they were able to detect the moment when two men arrived in a van , entered the store and, after committing the robbery, fled in the same vehicle.

The arrest was made possible thanks to the collaborative efforts of the High Impact Crimes Group and the Cyber ​​Police Unit , who, with the support of the C2 and C4 urban video surveillance systems, were able to track the suspects.

During the operation, a replica firearm , more than 30,000 pesos in cash, and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck allegedly used in the robbery were seized. Everything seized was turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office , which has already opened the corresponding investigation file.

Authorities reported that they have sufficient information to locate the second suspect , and investigations are continuing to ensure his swift capture.

The Police Department reiterated that it maintains permanent surveillance and intelligence actions , working in coordination with the three levels of government to guarantee the safety of citizens and combat high-impact crimes in the city .
