On Thursday, July 24, at 10:20 PM, police officers responded to a report of a man on fire in the town of Lasopole. When they arrived, they found only a partially charred body. According to Agata Sławińska, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Grójec, the investigation was conducted under the supervision of the district prosecutor.
Lasopole. A man was seen on fire in the street.The ambulance service and four fire brigade crews dispatched to the scene could only confirm the man's death. Police took further action and, on Friday, July 25, announced the arrest of a 60-year-old man in the case.
"An autopsy will be performed today, after which the prosecutor will decide whether the detainee will be questioned," said Aneta Góźdź, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Radom. She added that a car was found at the scene, the driver of which had fled. The owner was identified.

Investigators also did not confirm reports by TVP3 Warszawa about the discovery of a gas canister and a burnt axe in the area.
"At this stage, it's too early to provide any definitive information. Intensive investigations are underway, and the case is extremely developing," one of the officers emphasized unofficially in a statement posted on the Facebook page "Hot Information Piaseczno County."
A priest has been arrested. The Archdiocese confirmsTVN24 reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz later reported that the detainee was indeed a priest. Police arrested him at the parish rectory in Przypki, near Tarczyn.
Father Przemysław Śliwiński, spokesman for the Archdiocese of Warsaw, was asked for comment. "I can confirm that the priest was detained at the rectory in Przypki," he replied. However, he emphasized that he was not familiar with the details of the case. He announced that if charges were brought against the priest, he would be suspended from his duties until the matter was resolved.
