Poznań. Tragic end to driver dispute. 70-year-old dies.— The argument was sparked by the 19-year-old Ford driver honking at the 70-year-old BMW driver for driving slowly and stopping suddenly, said Deputy Commissioner Łukasz Paterski, press officer for the Poznań police.
The men got out of the vehicles and the exchange of words turned into blows.
"According to our findings, the 70-year-old BMW driver became aggressive toward the 19-year-old in the Ford. At one point, the driver, likely trying to avoid the older man's aggression, punched him in the cheek. He fell to the ground, hitting his head on the road. He was taken to hospital by ambulance," a police spokesman told epoznan.pl.
More than a month after the brawl, the 70-year-old died in hospital. Investigators are now investigating whether the 19-year-old acted in self-defense. They are also awaiting the results of the man's autopsy.
