Fire of a ventilation grille in Łapczyce. Emergency services intervened

On Sunday, February 23, at 10:25 p.m., the emergency services received a report of a fire in a ground floor apartment in a multi-family building in Łapczyce. According to the police, the arsonist of the plastic ventilation grille was the husband of the owner of the premises.

As a result of the incident, the foam sealing the ventilation duct caught fire, which led to the room where the mother and four children were staying filled with smoke. The fire was extinguished before the firefighters arrived, and the rooms were ventilated. The firefighters secured the scene and checked the ventilation duct and the apartment for threats. The windowsill and curtain were sooted, but measurements did not indicate the presence of dangerous gases.

The children's mother refused medical assistance. The actions of four fire brigades lasted less than an hour, and a police patrol remained on the scene.
