New spaces for the cardiology clinic at ul. Arkońska in Szczecin

The cardiology clinic of the Provincial Hospital on Arkońska Street in Szczecin will move to the thoroughly modernized "J" building. It was ceremonially opened for use on Tuesday. However, the clinic's move will probably last until the end of this week. The new location is in the same hospital complex.
Building "J" is a historical monument. Its history dates back to the end of the 19th century. The modernization cost over PLN 25 million. But it is to significantly improve the conditions of treatment of patients with heart diseases, of whom there are several dozen thousand annually in this clinic. The revitalized building has larger offices than usual in new buildings. However, modern solutions have not been abandoned here, e.g. a modern passenger elevator, as well as pneumatic mail - for transporting samples for laboratory tests in other buildings of the hospital. All floors of the building have been rebuilt, a new staircase was built, and the main entrance has been moved to the south-east side.
- Thanks to the joint efforts of the provincial government and the hospital management, we managed to renovate another facility at ul. Arkońska, which will serve patients seeking cardiology advice here. I am very glad that we are managing to modernize this hospital in a sustainable way and build a modern tissue, but also take care of the already historic one - said Olgierd Geblewicz, the province marshal, during the ceremony.
The hospital director, Małgorzata Usielska, emphasized that the cardiology clinic - both its staff and patients - did not have it easy. In the past, it had to change its location several times and work in difficult conditions.
- But you can't do renovations, you can't do investments without these types of moves - she explained. - They are burdensome, unpopular, but they are necessary. I hope that working in this new building will compensate you for the fact that you have already moved three or four times. This building was built in pain, because the entire investment cost over 25 million and this financial assembly was difficult. Apart from the three million that came from the post-pandemic reconstruction funds, this is all non-EU money. But it was hard to watch a beautiful building, which once housed two infectious diseases wards, standing and practically falling into disrepair, and the cardiology clinic has doubled the number of patients and can't fit. The patients in the conditions they had so far were stuffy, cramped and uncomfortable. At the moment I hope that it will be much better.
The cardiology, rhythm disorders and pacemaker monitoring clinic is scheduled to move to its new location by the end of this week.
- It is also people who decide what work looks like at the hospital on Arkońska Street, and this is probably the greatest value of our hospital. And these investments that appear really do give increasing job satisfaction - said Robert Józwa, head of the clinic and departments of cardiology, invasive cardiology and intensive cardiology supervision at the local hospital.
He added that this new location, with more space available, will allow for an expansion of the range of services for patients.©℗

And this unjustified show-off of politicians everywhere, even in the hospital.

Nicely renovated building. Wasn't there an infectious disease clinic there before?

It's cool, but
