Energa-Operator is completely eliminating meter reading fees at the individual request of the customer. It is the first distribution system operator in Poland that will provide all customers with their measurement data for free:
- by e-mail,
- by letter,
- or via memory media.
This will make it easier for consumers, especially prosumers, to manage their energy consumption, and for local governments to create energy clusters and cooperatives.

Free access to measurement data will allow local governments and entities planning to create energy communities to conduct business analyses of future models, as well as existing clusters or energy cooperatives. It will facilitate better energy consumption management for individual recipients, creating appropriate prosumer behaviors, and consequently real savings.

As the company claims, the data obtained can serve as a basis for making informed decisions regarding the development of the local economy in terms of energy production and consumption, which in turn will have an impact on greater stability of the power grid.
Smaller energy flow in the network through MV/LV transformer stations will reduce technical network losses. Synchronization of activities of Energa-Operator, local governments and energy communities will contribute to balancing energy flows.
In addition, it will enable the company to better adapt investments related to the expansion of stations and distribution lines to the actual needs of customers.
So far, the company has been providing customers with remote reading meters with hourly reading data free of charge via the application and the Mój Licznik portal.
However, this did not always meet the needs of recipients, because for many prosumer models and activities , readings in 15-minute cycles, available for free, are important.
